Community members sought to help shape future Town Centre East and Fingerpost
Following confirmation of £20millon Pride in Place funding for Town Centre East and Fingerpost, St Helens Borough Council is inviting passionate community members to help shape the future of the area by joining the Town Centre East and Fingerpost Neighbourhood Board.

The Neighbourhood Board will be made up of residents, businesses, local organisations and project partners that will oversee the investment of the Pride in Place funding to deliver meaningful, lasting change to the area over the next 10 years.
An open recruitment process has already been undertaken to recruit a Chair and Board Members are now being sought for the following roles:
- Business representatives (up to 3)
- Community representatives (2)
- Faith representatives (up to 2)
- Third sector representative - including sports clubs (1)
- Culture, arts or heritage representative (1)
Once established, the Neighbourhood Board will provide strategic leadership to help guide the development of the Pride in Place Plan, setting out a 10-year vision for the area and identifying priority themes for investment based on local needs and aspirations.
Applications are encouraged from individuals with direct local connections such as living or working within the Town Centre East and Fingerpost boundary with a strong local knowledge and a genuine desire to help shape the future of the area.
Lisa Harris, Executive Director of Place at St Helens Borough Council said: "The Neighbourhood Board puts local people at the heart of decision making and we are seeking individuals with a real passion for the Town Centre East and Fingerpost area to share their expertise and knowledge to help shape how this major investment will be used to deliver real, lasting change over the next decade.
"This is a unique opportunity for local residents to play a central role in delivering transformational projects that will benefit generations to come."
