Free roadshow event to boost digital confidence in St Helens

Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, in partnership with the six local authorities - including St Helens Borough Council - is hosting a series of marketplace events designed to help residents build digital confidence, access resources, and discover further support through the Login LCR project which is funded by the UK Government's Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund.

The events will bring together a number of organisations that provide practical digital support, useful resources and signposting to further help, including: -

• Building digital confidence
• Guidance on using online services
• Information on council digital services
• Take-home resources, such as the Helping You Online Guide
• Tips for staying safe online
• Advice on affordable broadband options, including Social Tariffs
• Community signposting to local digital hubs, libraries, and support groups

Councillor Keith Laird, St Helens Borough Council's Cabinet Member for People, Performance and IT, said: "Being online is now an essential part of everyday life - whether it's booking appointments, paying bills, or applying for jobs.

"Yet across Liverpool City Region, an estimated 125,000 people remain offline. To tackle this digital divide, we're committed to working with our partners to empower residents with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in a digital world, as part of an ambition to become the best digitally-connected borough in the region.

"Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your digital know-how, please join us to help you get the best out of being online."

The event in St Helens will take place at the World of Glass Museum on Tuesday 10 March from 10:00am-2:00pm.
