Today, Friday 8th May, the votes will be counted for the St Helens Borough Council Local Elections 2026 with 46 seats being decided today. The process sees ballot papers verified first before the count takes place. The turnout figure for the election is 38.5 per cent with 51,751 votes cast yesterday at the polls.
